Mazed and Confused

Here’s another story about a family getting lost in a corn maze. Why it made it to national network television is beyond me, but it is definitely worth watching. A girl calls the local police when her family gets “stuck” in a corn maze in Massachusetts. I say “stuck” because when you can walk straight through the walls of whatever confinement you’re in, you’re not ever really stuck. For some untold reason, the family thought it was a good idea to take a 3-week-old into the maze, this being it first trip out of the house. The mother soon realizes how bad of an idea that was and quickly overreacts by swearing to never let the child out again. The best part comes near the end when the female reporter tells us it only took the police and maze operators “just about a minute to find them.” I’m not usually into making social commentary about the country, especially from isolated incidents, but this worries me just a bit.
