Blow up the photo to look at the original post, or go to the Craigslist.ca post Maurice’s 1953 Gibson Les Paul guitar was stolen June 5th, and yesterday his struggle went viral. I wasn’t even going to post on this, because I know Maurice is getting a lot of help from many people around the world, but I AM posting this because the reason I know Maurice is getting help from all around the world is because he told me. Yes, Gentle Readers. I emailed the bereft musician on June 22nd asking him if the thieves had returned his belongings. He emailed me back last evening to tell me how supportive people have been, and how he’s been getting phone calls, texts, and emails from all over the world offering to keep an eye out for his stuff. He had over 500 emails to respond to, and took the time to respond to me, and I’ll bet you that he emailed every single person back. You join the community on Facebook, called Help my ’53 Les Paul come home, and read more about the situation at web.me’s stolen instrument page. And, for Heaven’s sake, if you see this guy’s guitar, grab it and send it back to him!
